This Mini is great for a family that needs sleeping space for five or a group of friends that enjoys camping together! The owners will have a queen Murphy bed to sleep on at night once it is easily set up after enjoying the sofa during the daytime. There is a set of bunk beds in the rear next to the toilet and shower room that offers convenience and privacy, and the dinette slide out offers dining and sleeping space, plus extra floor space for all to move about the trailer. There is a two burner cooktop and microwave for the chef to make warm meals, and a pantry for dry goods and snacks, plus a 10 cu. ft. refrigerator. Outside, the 15' power awning can provide some protection from the sun during the day and at night the LED light is handy while staying up late.
With any Real-Lite Mini single-axle travel trailer by Palomino there is Azdel construction that provides better insulation, is lighter than wood, and resistant to rot. A laminated roof, a Hi Gloss white exterior, and a front cap with a windshield and Line X protectant will allow you to enjoy your RV for years to come. Inside you will find LED lighting, an AM/FM Bluetooth stereo to listen to the big game or your favorite music, kitchen appliances to make meals, and a porcelain toilet for convenience, plus more depending on the Mini you choose. As demand for the Palomino grew, Mr. Landey felt it would benefit his company, Vanguard Ind., to relocate. With most manufacturers and industry suppliers located in the Elkhart, In. area the move eastward seemed logical. Vanguard Industries settled in the community of Colon in 1972. Once in Colon he began to put his plans in motion. By 1973 he had built the main production facility and within days Palomino tent trailers were rolling out the doors.
In 1976, Vanguard added its own Needle Division, in 1978 its own Metal Fabrication Plant, and has several cold storage facilities. On May 27, 1992, the primary production building and offices were destroyed by fire. By late August, 1992, the first 1993 model Palomino rolled of the line in the new 52,300 sq. ft. facility, which was built on the same site as the previous building had been.
The year 1998 continued to see expansion with the addition of a new 75,000 sq. ft. production facility, and another storage facility. In 2002 Vanguard was purchased by Forest River, Inc. This allowed for rapid growth and the introduction of two new towable lines of travel trailers and fifth wheels, Puma and Sabre by Palomino.
